When was the last time you were challenged, beyond your comfort zone, to improve your IFR skills? How many times have you flown an approach to minimums in IFR conditions...recently? Would you like to identify where your skills, or lack thereof, lie in relation to the toughest of weather conditions? Wouldn't it be great if you could do all of this (and so much more) in a perfectly safe environment? Well, you can!!! Located at the Louisville Executive Hangar at Bowman Field (KLOU) in Louisville, KY, Flight Training Solutions offers a means of testing and improving your performance level in a controlled safe environment at, and beyond, your personal minimums. All of this is accomplished in the comfortable, yet realistic, setting of flight simulation. The flights are conducted in an Advanced Personal Computer Aviation Training Device (Advanced PCATD). That's right, I did say "in". This Advanced PCATD is a full-scale cockpit with dual instrument panels and full dual flight controls. A flight instructor's station is positioned outside of the cockpit for flight detail following and manipulation of events. The flight itself is so realistic that the Advanced PCATD is actually FAA approved for the use in conducting the Instrument Practical check ride. In case you are wondering, we do offer training in actual aircraft as well.
